Face or Touch ID is a convenient additional security feature for your FTX App.  This is completely optional and the prompt to turn this on is visible after adding a PIN to the app. 

 

  • Turning Face, Touch or Fingerprint ID On

    If you have not added a PIN to the FTX App yet, follow the steps here to add a PIN and you will be prompted to enable Face ID or Touch ID in the app after.

     

    If you have added a PIN to the app and chose to enable Face, Touch or Fingerprint ID later:

     

    1. Tap the ⚙️ icon at the top right corner of your FTX App.

    2. Select Security.

    3. Tap Device Security.

    4. Depending on the biometric login supported by your device, you should see one of the following:

    • Face ID
    • Touch ID
    • Fingerprint ID

    Tap the option available to you and a prompt to enable it should come up on the screen.

    If your device supports Touch ID or Fingerprint ID, enable this by touching your device's fingerprint sensor.

    If your device supports Face ID, tap OK at the prompt.

    IMPORTANT: If you see a prompt asking you to allow FTX to use Face, Touch or Fingerprint ID. You will need to allow this so you can login to the app using this feature.

  • Turning Face, Touch or Fingerprint ID Off

    If you have previously enabled Face, Touch or Fingerprint ID and would like to disable this, follow the steps below:

     

    1. Tap the ⚙️ icon at the top right corner of your FTX App.

    2. Select Security.

    3. Tap Device Security.

    4. Depending on the biometric login supported by your device, you should see one of the following:

    • Face ID
    • Touch ID
    • Fingerprint ID

    Tap the option available to you.

    If your device supports Touch ID, disable this by touching your device's fingerprint sensor.

    If your device supports Face ID, this option is automatically disabled after tapping Face ID.
